The size of a tyre is printed onto the side of the tyre - on the area known as the sidewall. When looking for the size you will see that it is made up of a series of numbers and letters. The 3 numbers marked above are the ones I will need to ensure I bring you the correct tyre for your car or van.

Wheels that are not balanced correctly may cause your steering to vibrate at speed, this is usually the first indication that your wheels need to be balanced. If left this can lead to more serious and expensive issues in the long run.

If your tyres are unbalanced you may also notice uneven tyre wear, which may result in you having to replace your tyres a lot sooner than you need to. This can also cause a drop in fuel economy, however, this may be less noticeable.

By placing tiny weights at specific points around the wheel we are able to balance the wheel correctly.

We will ensure all new tyres are correctly balanced when fitted.

The main benefit of having correctly balanced wheels is that your tyres with be performing as efficiently as possible.

We can repair-

*tyres that have not been driven on after receiving a puncture.

*small holes caused by items such as nails or screws

*punctures within the central area of the tyre (not the curve or the sidewall)

*Valve that are leaking (TPMS will require an additional charge)

*tyres that have over the minimum legal tread depth of 1.6mm

• only one puncture repair in each 90° quadrant – so a very maximum of four. This is the legal and safe requirement under BS AU 159.

To give your tyre the best possible chance of being repaired it’s important to stop driving as quickly as possible.
